Healthy homemade salad dressing — delicious Apple Cider Vinaigrette

I know. We used to buy bottled dressing all the time, too. But have you read those ingredients? From the unhealthy fats, to the sugar and salt, not to mention the ingredients I’ve never heard of — oy! I searched long and hard for “healthy” dressings. Sure, there are a few, but they’re expensive and sometimes difficult to find. I have various flavored vinegars and oils on-hand, but sometimes I just want something that has more depth to it. Know what I mean? Read…tastes more like something you’d get in a bottle or at a restaurant so my family will eat it! So I started playing around with making my own. Here’s one we ALL love that you can whip up in a snap, and it’s so good for you!
Immune-Boosting Apple Cider Vinaigrette
So easy to make (with ingredients you may already have on-hand), so delicious, and filled with immune boosting ingredients. Poured over fresh greens topped with red onion, broccoli, avocado, etc. and it’s even better for you😀. YUM!
Servings: 6 2 tablespoon servings
Equipment
- No equipment necessary
Ingredients
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup raw apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon raw honey as needed for sweetness
- 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Shake, stir or blend to combine well!
